The Salimo Abdula Foundation (FSA), in partnership with Money Savvy Mozambique and the Municipal Council of Marracuene Village, is promoting intensive training in agribusiness and financial education for 150 local producers.
The initiative, a pioneer in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province, takes place over three days and aims to strengthen family income, stimulate local entrepreneurship and boost the sustainable development of communities.
During the opening ceremony, held in the Municipality of Marracuene, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FSA, Paulo Oliveira, stressed:
" The role of the Foundation is to contribute to creating opportunities with real impact on communities. We promote solidarity citizenship, responsible and committed to well-being and sustainable development. Our goal is to foster entrepreneurship through training, helping people to write a new story in their lives and surroundings. "
Training covers key topics such as financial management, savings methods, conscious use of credit, combating overindebtedness, and techniques for business growth in the agribusiness sector.
According to Sany Weng, Co-founder of Money Savvy Mozambique:
"We believe that this initiative will generate real and lasting impacts on the economic life of small producers and entrepreneurs of agribusiness in Marracuene. Financial education is a powerful tool for planning, saving and creating investment capacity. "
Councilor for the Urbanization and Infrastructure Area of the Marracuene Municipal Council, Hannibal Bechel, also expressed optimism about the impact of the action:
"We are confident that this action will bring positive results in terms of financial management for our population, with particular focus on young people and women involved in agriculture, fish farming.
The trainees expressed great enthusiasm, recognizing the value of training as an essential step towards improving the management of their resources and boosting their economic activities.
