Salimo Abdula Foundation (FSA) marked, this Wednesday, in Maputo, a memorandum of understanding (MdE) with the University Foundation for the Development of Education (FUNDE), to strengthen education and support initiatives related to the enterprise in the country.
The agreement was signed by Paulo Oliveira, President of the Salimo Abdula Foundation, and by the Executive Director of the University Foundation for the Development of Education, Rosania da Silva.
The purpose of the memorandum is, in addition to materialising institutional cooperation, to develop joint actions to promote education and entrepreneurship.
In the framework of this partnership, small, medium and long-term courses will be given with a view to generating initiatives to promote the development of self-sustainable projects, as well as the holding of debates, conferences and conferences. workshops with civil society, with the satisfaction of common needs of communities at a national level as a priority.
For Paulo Oliveira, the agreement "This represents an important step towards the effective start of the project to promote education and support the entrepreneurship of our communities at national level. We all hope that this bold initiative, carried out in partnership with the University Foundation for the Development of Education, will increase the availability of access and promote education and entrepreneurship, for the benefit of the most deprived communities in rural areas and not only”.
In turn, Rosania da Silva, Executive Director of FUNDE, said that the memorandum has the power to implement the actions that the foundation has been developing in the areas of health, education, communication for behavior change, inclusion, gender and community support.
"By establishing this partnership with the Salimo Abdula Foundation, we understand that our focus of work is somewhat transversal to these two areas that FUNDE has elected. We hope that together we can join forces, both for the development of our institutions and for the development of the country.", said Rosania da Silva.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was witnessed by Salimo Abdula, patron of the Salimo Abdula Foundation, and Lourenço do Rosário, patron of the University Foundation for the Development of Education.
