Salimo Abdula Foundation celebrates Christmas with children from the Rainbow Orphanage in Maputo

The Salimo Abdula Foundation (FSA) this Saturday promoted a meeting with the children of the Rainbow Orphanage in the neighborhood of Zippeto, Maputo. In the context of Solidarity Christmas, the event brought together children, educators and representatives of the Foundation at a time of celebration and sharing, inserted in its programme of social impact initiatives with institutions working in the protection of childhood in Mozambique.

The initiative included the offer of a special Christmas lunch, school supplies, non-perishable food and clothes, providing children with a moment of joy, dignity and hope.

In addition to donations, the interaction was marked by gestures of affection, proximity and interaction, reinforcing the importance of human care and collective commitment to children in vulnerable situations. The activity also included games, playful moments and animation, as well as direct interaction with children, with the aim of highlighting the value of human presence, attention and closeness in building a more inclusive and supportive society.

Because the moment was for celebration, the ceremony was attended by the renowned Mozambican singer Neyma who toasted the children and all those present with various performances, creating an environment of joy and emotion. The initiative was also attended by the contemporary artist Sebastian Coana, which, through its brush, involved children in a creative experience, showing them, interactively, how a picture is born and arousing in them the taste for artistic expression.

Stop Jiyaad Abdula, administrator of the Salimo Abdula Foundation, Christmas is, above all, coexistence, presence and shared joy. " This is exactly what the Foundation brings today: one day to smile, play, live and celebrate life. This meeting is not just for offers, but for bonding, laughing and playing together and showing that no one is alone. We believe that a better and more fraternal society is built with human closeness, simple gestures and true love".

Jiyaad also highlighted the role played by the Rainbow Orphanage. "What is done here is a silent but deeply transforming work. Caring for, protecting and educating these children requires permanent dedication and enormous social responsibility, which deserves the recognition of all".

In turn, Herminius Mukey, Director of the Rainbow Orphanage highlighted the relevance of the gesture and the direct impact on children's lives. "This support represents much more than material goods. It is a demonstration of affection, recognition and attention to our children, who feel valued and remembered in this festive court. We are deeply grateful to the Salimo Abdula Foundation for this gesture of solidarity and humanity".

With this initiative, FSA reaffirms its continued commitment to sustainable social actions, which promote the inclusion, hope, well-being and promotion of human development among communities.

The FSA is a non-profit entity with a clear commitment to boost sustainable development and promote social impact initiatives.

With capacity for up to 200 children, the Rainbow Orphanage currently houses 107 minors, including children with special needs who require differentiated care and monitoring.
