The Salimo Abdula Foundation (FSA) reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and the promotion of social impact initiatives through concrete actions that respond to the most urgent needs of Mozambican communities.
In 2024, given the serious consequences left by the cyclone Freddy, which hit the province of Zambézia hard, the FSA launched an important initiative to build wells in the districts of Pebane and Bajone (Maganja da Costa).
These regions were severely affected, with many private families accessing drinking water — an essential resource for survival and health. Recognizing this critical need, the Foundation has directed efforts to ensure an effective and lasting response by implementing accessible and sustainable water supply systems.
This action is part of the pillar of the Foundation's social assistance, acting not only as an emergency measure, but also as an investment in strengthening and resilience of local communities. Drinking water, in addition to preventing diseases, is a fundamental basis for human dignity and for the recovery of populations affected by natural disasters.
The construction of these wells represents more than infrastructure — It symbolizes solidarity, hope and reconstruction. It is another step of the Salimo Abdula Foundation in its continuing commitment to transform realities and improve lives.
