On December 15, 2024, the Cyclone Chido hit Mozambique with great intensity, leaving a trail of destruction in the provinces of Niassa, Nampula and Cabo Delgado. Thousands of families were affected, facing severe material losses, food insecurity and displacement.
In view of this devastating scenario, the Salimo Abdula Foundation (FSA), in line with its commitment to promote sustainable development and social support, mobilized resources and efforts to provide assistance to the most affected communities.
As an immediate response, the FSA distributed half a ton of butter beans to help feed affected families in the province of Cabo Delgado. This gesture of solidarity sought to alleviate, albeit partially, the difficult situation faced by hundreds of Mozambicans in the midst of the humanitarian crisis caused by the cyclone.
Since its inception, the Salimo Abdula Foundation has worked tirelessly to build a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable future. Each action is guided by solid values of respect for diversity, empathy and social responsibility.
Through this initiative, we reaffirm our continued commitment to the Mozambican people and our determination to develop lasting projects that promote the resilience and well-being of our communities.
